Using these terms

These terms cover your use of the Ghotly AI desktop app and this website. By installing the app, signing in or using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

The service

Ghotly AI is a Windows application that transcribes audio, analyses screenshots and drafts answers by sending your requests to the AI and speech providers you configure. Every account gets 10 minutes of interview time free, once, with a sponsor ad shown before sessions; after that, interview sessions need a paid plan (see "Plans and payments"). The website provides downloads, documentation, a blog and support.

We may change, pause or stop any part of the service, and we may release updates that the app installs automatically.

Your account

By signing in you accept the Privacy Policy, including that our team can see the details you fill in on the Interview Setup page and may contact you about your account or the app.

You sign in with a Google account. Keep your device and account secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. We may block or remove accounts that break these terms or misuse the service.

Plans and payments

Every account gets 10 minutes of interview time free, once. Our server counts it while an interview runs, on whichever PCs the account uses (two PCs at the same moment count once); if the app stops without ending the interview (a crash, a lost connection), up to one minute after its last contact with our server counts too. Signing in, setting up keys, the resume, billing and support never use it. After that, starting an interview needs a plan. The plan is a single payment for one calendar month (₹79 at the time of writing; the price is shown in Indian rupees on the pricing page before you pay). It does not renew automatically. A month runs from the moment the payment is confirmed to the same day and time in the next month, counted in India time (IST), or to the last day of the next month when it has no such day (a month bought on 31 January ends on 28 or 29 February). Buying a plan while one is active adds the new month after the current one ends. A plan bought before the one-month plan was introduced keeps the period it was bought with.

A plan covers one account. An account - with the trial or a plan - can be used on up to three PCs: a PC takes its place when the app signs in on it, and you can remove one in your account to make room (a removed PC is signed out). Interview time is measured by our servers while a session runs. Plans include no ads (a free session starts with a short sponsor ad) and put your support tickets in the priority queue of the Ghotly AI team (every signed-in account can open tickets), and they let you open the job listings on the Jobs page (the full description and the apply link) while the plan is active. Job listings are collected from public sources, are kept for 48 hours and are shown as information only: we are not an employer or a recruitment agency and do not promise any job. You still need your own Deepgram and AI provider keys (see below).

Payments are processed by Razorpay or Cashfree; we never see your full card or UPI details. Prices may change for future purchases, never for a plan you have already bought.

A second payment for a purchase that is already paid is refunded automatically. Other refunds are not automatic: if you were charged twice, or could not use a plan because of a fault on our side, write to support@ghotlyai.in within 7 days of the payment with your payment id. If we approve a refund it goes back to the original payment method through the payment company that took it (Cashfree or Razorpay) and the plan's days are removed from your account.

Your keys and third-party services

You supply your own Deepgram and AI provider API keys and you are responsible for the charges, limits and terms of those services. Data you send through the app is handled by those providers under their own policies. Your keys stay on your PC and are never sent to us (see the privacy policy); keep them safe there as you would any password.

Acceptable use

Ghotly AI is intended for interview preparation and practice. You agree not to use it to:

• break the law or another person's rights;
• cheat in an exam, or break the rules of a company, school or platform you are dealing with;
• record or transcribe people without any consent that the law requires;
• attack, overload or reverse engineer our servers, or get around blocks placed on an account.

Employers and interview platforms often forbid outside assistance. Whether using the app in a particular interview is allowed is between you and them, and any consequence is yours.

Software licence

The desktop app is released under the MIT licence; its licence text is in the project repository. Installers are published on GitHub Releases. The Ghotly AI name, logo and website content are not covered by that licence.

No warranty

The service is provided as is and as available. AI answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Screen-capture exclusion is an operating-system feature that we cannot guarantee for every recording or sharing tool. Check anything important yourself.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Ghotly AI and its creators are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunities or lost data arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, which for the free app is nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and contact
