Ghostly AI v3.5.2: Dead AI Models Fixed, Screen-Share Bug & More Invisible

Ghostly AI v3.5.1 and v3.5.2 fix AI providers (NVIDIA, Gemini, Anthropic and OpenRouter) that had quietly gone dead on their own end, a real bug where the overlay could trigger a "tab switched" warning on exam platforms, screenshots capturing the wrong monitor, updates not reopening the app, and make the overlay harder to detect by anything that is not screen capture.

A Round of Fixes, Not New Features

v3.5.1 and v3.5.2 shipped close together — both are fixes found by testing the app the way real interviews actually happen: multiple monitors, fullscreen exam platforms, and AI providers that quietly change their model catalogs without telling anyone using them.

🐛 AI providers were quietly dying

NVIDIA removed every model Ghostly was configured to use from their catalog — every NVIDIA request had been failing since late July. Checking every other provider the same way found more of the same: 2 of Gemini's 3 models were never real Google model IDs, one Anthropic model was weeks from being fully retired, and OpenRouter had 2 dead models in its list (one wasn't even a chat model).

Fixed: all four providers now point at verified-live models. If a provider ever retires a model you already had selected again, the app now switches you to a working one automatically on next launch instead of failing silently forever.

🐛 The overlay could trigger a "tab switched" warning on exam platforms

Showing the overlay (Ctrl+B, Ctrl+E, and a few other places) was calling Windows' window-focus function — which steals focus from whatever you were just using. If that was a fullscreen browser tab running an assessment, some platforms (HackerEarth among them) read that focus change as "the candidate switched tabs" and show a violation warning, even though nothing you did caused it.

Fixed: the overlay now shows itself without taking Windows' focus. Every keyboard shortcut already worked without it.

🐛 Screenshots could capture the wrong monitor

On a multi-monitor setup, Ctrl+E always captured whichever screen Windows calls "primary" — not necessarily the one your interview or assessment window was actually on.

Fixed: it now captures the screen your mouse is on.

🐛 Updating could leave login broken until you noticed and reopened the app

After installing an update, the app wasn't guaranteed to reopen itself. Logging in through the browser right after updating could say "desktop app not detected" for no obvious reason.

Fixed: the app now always reopens itself once an update finishes installing.

✨ A bit more invisible

Screen-capture exclusion (the thing that keeps Ghostly out of what you share) is already the strongest Windows offers — there's nothing stronger to turn on there. But the window's title and tray tooltip used to literally say "Stealth AI Assistant", which has nothing to do with screen capture: it's what any tool checking open window titles directly would see, independent of what's actually being recorded. Both now just say "Ghostly AI".
